Coming to America 2: Amazon Studios Buys It For $125M, Releases Official Poster

Oh! Wow! the long awaited  movie Coming 2 America, a sequel to the award winning 1998 original Coming To America, which grossed over $128 million at the box office was a huge hit in the 80s has finally released an official poster.

The official poster showcases all the characters that will appear in this thrilling movie. You should know that the multiple award winning actor, my favorite "Eddie Murphy is" in glancing the major part of the poster alongside a star-studded cast which includes Wesley Snipes, James Earl Jones, Arsenio hall, Tracy Morgan, and Leslie Jones.

The original film starring Eddie Murphy who played the character of Prince Akeem who fled to America while trying to escape an arranged marriage alongside Semmi (Arsenio Hall), to find his queen.

Currently, It’s been thirty years plus since the 1988 huge hit movie and this sequel will explore prince Akeem as the new king and his side-kick Semmi, on a new adventurous journey to Queens in order to find King Akeem’s long lost son. 

According to the trailer and poster, Coming 2 America appears to not stray far away from the original comedy of the first film. It has the same goofy humor that Murphy and Hall are known for.

AccordingAccording to Screenrant, the sequel is rated PG-13, which could be a possible issue, since the original was rated R. Due to the pandemic, Coming 2 America will not be in theaters but is set to be released on Amazon Prime on March 5th.
